That Pour Woman is Amy Karasavas and Amy Karasavas is That Pour Woman.
After graduating from Boston University with a degree in Television and Film, Amy promptly ignored her education and started working at Facebook, which at the time was a small tech startup. After a few years in the Bay Area, she moved to New York to dabble in comedy podcasting. She drank wine throughout these years and dreams of becoming a sommelier began to percolate. After a few fits and starts, she began her wine journey in 2017 taking a course at the Sommelier Society of America and earning her sommelier certification in February 2018. Soon after, she launched her wine education company, That Pour Woman, specializing in public and private wine events, classes, and tastings. In June 2021, she became WSET 3 certified. 2022 was a big year for wine studies as Amy began her WSET Diploma journey and became a Spanish Wine Scholar.
That Pour Woman exists to make alcoholic beverage education accessible for everyone. As a business owner, I commit to the following measures:
